KNITTING OF CAP WITH CROSS BRAID

The womanly and elegant hat with pattern braid was to the taste to many women of fashion. This popular model of hat was connected by already many needlewomen, and for those who was not in time yet or only starts learning to knit, I suggest to study master class in knitting of cap with cross braid.

Knitting of hat required 100 gr yarn of YarnArt Shetland Chunky (50% wool, 50% acryle, 100 gr/150m), spokes No. 4, 1 additional spoke, needle for sewing together of cap.

Description of knitting of cap spokes:

In the beginning the main part of cap – crown, in the cross direction matches. Then on the long party of the main part it is necessary to gather loops and to connect bottom, doing decreases to the top of hat. At the last stage, the remained loops on the top pull together and sew cap by occipital part.

Knitting of bottom of cap.By upper part of the connected detail gather loops, extending from loop edge on working spoke. Gather loops from upper side that number of selvage loops remained on wrong side.

The gathered loops knit elastic band 1х1 (1 front, 1 back) 11 rows. In the 12th row provyazhit all loops on 2 together, doing on 2 together front and 2 together back. Further connect elastic band of 1х1 4 more rows, again lower half all loops. Provyazav two more rows, cut off working thread, having left long piece. Pass thread in needle with wide ear, stretch thread tip through the remained loops and pull together them.

Sewing together of cap. Has remained in prison to sew bottom and the main part of cap. Sew bottom, entering needle for selvage loops on wrong side, and sew the main part, having dismissed loops of initial row and open loops of the last row on upper side in equipment of knitted seam.
