KNITTING WITH EFFECT OF ACCORDION PLEATS AND FOLDS

When knitting folds consider that lines form external corner of fold of front loops, and back the internal.
For fold bend remove on additional spoke of 5 loops from external corner (the line of front loops), on the second spoke the following 5 loops to the right.

Arrange spokes with the removed loops behind work and provyazhit 5 loops together with 3 spokes, at the same time entering spoke into 3 loops.

For fold bend to the left on additional spoke remove 5 loops from internal corner (the line of back loops), on the second spoke the following 5 loops and place them before work and provyazhit fold.

It is possible to have folds at some distance from each other or closely to each other, directing them in one direction or counter.

The option of knitting of accordion pleats with the removed loops forms more relief and dense cloth. In knitting of pleated cloths often use expansion of folds by means of addition of loops in sides. On sample expansion from one loop to three in width of knitting of side is shown.

The beginning of knitting from the smallest sides from one loop. Gather number of loops multiple the 4th, + 3 additional, + 2 edging.
1st row (persons.): Krom., * 3 persons. to remove 1 item – thread before work, to repeat from * until the end of row, Krom.
2nd row (izn.): Krom., 1 persons., * to remove 1 item – thread before work, 3 persons., to repeat from *, to stop 1 item removing – thread before work, 3 persons., Krom.
To repeat the 1st and 2nd row up to the necessary height of cloth, then to add in each side on the 1st loop. Additions should be done as equals distances in height for uniform expansion of cloth to desirable width.
Folds well look on front smooth surface, for forming of external and internal corners of folds use the removed loops.

Gather necessary quantity of loops multiple to fold width + 2 Krom.
On sample 1st row (persons.): Krom., * 4 persons., to remove 1 item – thread behind work, 4 persons., to remove 1 item – thread before work, to repeat from * until the end of row, to finish 4 faces., Krom.
2nd row (izn.): Krom., all loops to knit back, Krom.
To repeat the 1st and 2nd row up to the necessary height and to create folds, considering that the removed loops before work form external corner, and loops behind work the internal.
