KNITTING OF SOCKS ON TWO SPOKES

Very easy way of knitting of socks on two spokes. For knitting of socks choose yarn acryle with wool addition. Using simple method of calculation of loops to the taken measurements, you can easily connect socks of any size.

To connect socks by the size of foot it is necessary to take measurements of foot and to calculate quantity of loops for set. Measure foot, previously having put on thin sock, from cuff top to heel, from heel to tip of thumb and on the upper party measure length on foot bend from finger to edge of cuff.

Now connect sample of platochny knitting and determine knitting density. I used thick yarn (in 100 gr 165 meters) and spokes No. 4,5. Density of knitting of my sample has turned out 19 loops on 10 cm. My measures from cuff to heel - 15 cm, foot - 24 cm, upper part - 27 cm.

I calculate quantity of loops by simple mathematical method if in 10 cm of 19 loops, in 15 cm = x; x = 15*19/10 = 28,5 loops (from cuff to heel)

x = 24*19/10 = 45,5 loops (stop)

x = 27*19/10 = 51 loops (upper part)

Description of knitting of socks:

Having put all received figures, I need to gather 125 loops. Do set of loops by catch contrast cord by means of hook (way opisannut).

Then attach working thread and knit the first row front loops. In this row it should be noted loops of the center of heel – 29-I loop, toe tops, having counted 45 loops from the central loop of heel, and remain 51 loops of upper part of sock.

Open loops of initial row, having dismissed chain of loops of contrast thread, put on open loops spoke. Further connect the second half of sock having repeated all actions ot*.
